The Wound’rous Clouds

By Mark Conrad

In the air, and throughout the sky,

Are the wound’rous clouds that cover us on high.

Piles of either dark or light fluff, always moving,

filled with water and all that stuff.

Flying through you, oh what a thrill,

You covered me once on a mountain high,

I found out, that indeed you are real,

oh what a feeling, I was so high.

You are the wound’rous clouds,

The skies are filled with your glory,

And to you I truly wish,

I had a befitting end to this story.

This poem was inspired while sitting on top of Buchanan Pass.

Mark's Brief Biography:

To begin, I had quite a childhood. Started smoking at an early age ( not by design). Got messed up on drugs too. I was offered a chance to withdraw from high school right after 10th grade. So I got off drugs at 17 and went straight into 12th grade. Graduated and from there my life couldn't be better. I started drawing in jr. high along with writing poetry. Took drawing and painting 1 & 2 in my senior year at high school. I started a handyman service with a friend while I was a custodian for a church, and working less than part time as a receptionist for a mental health center. Now I put together computer systems for people that otherwise couldn't afford one, and I'm giving those people I help lessons and fixing computer errors that they might have . I also love building things out of wood, and hope to start building furniture with a friend. My girlfriend ( of 8 + years) I thinks I get to busy, But I love doing all this stuff!!
