Freddy Bosco, 2009

Freddy Bosco was a prolific storyteller and a pillar of the CHARG community. An avid writer and observer of the human condition, Freddy had a BA in English w/ Minors in Philosophy & Religion from The University of Denver (1970). He travelled the world of psychiatric misadventures from Bellevue Hospital in New York to CHARG Resource Center in Denver, and told the tale of his bumpy road with humor and insight. His work has been published in the New Yorker, Harper’s, Rolling Stone and Reader’s Digest, along with numerous newspapers and several Little, Brown anthologies. Twice he won first place in the Denver Voice’s Poets of the Streets contest. Freddy passed away in December 2018 and this blog is a tribute.
