PEER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
CHARG Resource Center offers opportunities for consumers of mental health treatment to also provide services to their peers. Some individuals have paid positions and others volunteer.
Tom Edilla is a consumer advocate at the Drop-In Center. His friendly smile puts everyone at ease. He welcomes all consumers to come by for a fun game of Bingo on Thursdays or to just stop by for a chat. He is a member of the CHARG board and a regular presence at the Drop-In Center, where his willingness to lend a hand is greatly appreciated by all.
Peggy Daniel is a payee representative for clinic clients who are beneficiaries of CHARG’s Payee Program. In addition, she works in the dental program and leads the Writers Group. Peggy also works at the Path office, where she runs a transitional housing support group, among other duties.
Penney Collins divides her time between the drop-in center and the PATH office. She helps consumers navigate the myriad agencies & resources available to meet basic needs such as shelters and food banks. Penney is a “people person” with a background in the health services industry.
